Michael DeLone is a principal with Deloitte Consulting, currently leading Deloitte’s Life Sciences Information Management and Analytics practice. Michael has over 16 years of experience dedicated to nearly all facets of information technology, specializing in information management and business intelligence solutions and strategies.
Prior to joining Deloitte, Michael was a managing director at BearingPoint/KPMG in the Life Sciences and Information Management practice. Michael started his career as a financial analyst with CoreStates Financial Corp in Philadelphia. He has led technology and information management teams and solutions/services at clients such as Pfizer, Merck, Boston Scientific, Johnson & Johnson, Philips Healthcare, and EMD Serono, as well as other notable companies including BMW, Dun & Bradstreet, Philip Morris, and Fannie Mae.
Michael is a thought leader in the areas of information management and business intelligence, specifically applied to the life sciences industry. His client work has been presented as examples of leading practices at the Data Warehousing Institute, CFO World, Hyperion, Ascential World, and other conferences. Michael has also been a guest speaker for SAP Sapphire and the Villanova University MBA program on information management in the context of overall business technology strategy.
Michael holds a degree in finance from Pennsylvania State University. He completed Harvard’s executive leadership education, focusing on leading professional services firms. Michael also completed Philadelphia’s Business on Board program (from the Arts and Business Council of Greater Philadelphia).
Michael lives in Downingtown, Pennsylvania with his wife, Hillary, their three children, and two dogs. He is an avid golfer and musician. He also enjoys competing in triathlons, coaching kids, and, most importantly, spending time with his family.
