Richy Glassberg

Richy Glassberg is EVP, TV Guide Media Ad Sales Group, where he leads ad sales efforts for TV Guide Network, TVGUIDE.com, TV Guide Broadband in syndication, Mobile and VOD.

As EVP, Ad Sales, Mr. Glassberg is responsible for the consolidation of the Online and Mobile team with the Network, Broadband and VOD team. He runs the strategic Pricing and Planning team, Ad Sales Marketing, Research and all Traffic and Operations.

He previously served as SR VP Director of Sales for TV Guide Network and IPG’s. He was a key component of the corporate strategy team helping to map out the future of television guidance and integrating advertising and clients into future product development across Gemstar’s diverse intellectual property portfolio.

Prior to joining TV Guide in September 2004, Mr. Glassberg was SVP of Ad Sales for News Corps’ Speed Channel, where he was responsible for all of the network’s ad sales revenues encompassing multi-platform marketing partnerships which integrated cable, internet, digital and program buys.

He got his start in the fledgling cable broadcast arena at MTVN/Viacom in production management learning cutting edge live production. Mr. Glassberg honed his expertise as he rose through the ranks of Turner Broadcasting in the early 90’s selling TBS and TNT. He led the online sales for Turner Broadcasting for four years launching CNN.com, CNNfn.com, CNNSI.com and the CNN.com International sales efforts in London and Hong Kong.

In 1999 Mr. Glassberg founded Phase2Media, the first online sales and marketing rep firm dedicated to exclusive representation for branded sites. Mr. Glassberg was one of the founding members of the Internet Advertising Bureau He led the IAB’s industry wide efforts to create the first internet advertising banner standards helming a group of 60 leading internet companies.

Adweek lauded Glassberg as one of the "Seven Industry Leaders of the Future of the Internet." Other sales awards including Turner Broadcasting’s Sales Person of the year and MTVN’s Rookie of the Year.

Richy is married and the proud parent of two wonderful boys. He also holds the rank of Second Degree Black Belt or Ni-Dan in Shorin-Ryu Okinawa Traditional Karate.
