Bruce Weiner, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a breast cancer surgeon and partner in the Montgomery Cancer Center of the Montgomery Hospital Medical Center in Norristown, Pa. He joined the Professional Advisory Board to help make sure that all women can learn about the best surgical options for them, and then can derive the greatest benefit from the options they choose.
Dr. Weiner received his B.A. from Harvard University and his D.M. from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey. He was an intern and resident at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, and he did post-doctoral work at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, also in New York. He has been a principal investigator in the Breast Cancer Prevention Trial and STAR Trial of the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project. Dr. Weiner is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Breast Diseases, the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Pennsylvania Medical Society.
