David Mankoff, M.D., Ph.D.

David Mankoff, M.D., Ph.D. is professor of radiology in the Division of Nuclear Medicine at the University of Washington and holds adjunct appointments in medicine (endocrinology) and bioengineering. Dr. Mankoff is board-certified in nuclear medicine and holds a Ph.D. in bioengineering with a focus on PET instrumentation. He practices nuclear medicine at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, University of Washington Medical Center, and affiliated centers, with a special interest in oncologic and endocrine applications of nuclear medicine and treatment of endocrine tumors. Dr. Mankoff's research focuses on molecular imaging of cancer, especially breast cancer, and emphasizes therapeutic monitoring and identifying factors mediating resistance. Dr. Mankoff is on the Board of Directors for the American Board of Nuclear Medicine and chairs the Experimental Imaging Sciences Committee of the American College of Radiology Imaging Network (ACRIN). He is also on the editorial boards of Nuclear Medicine and Biology, Breast Cancer Research, Journal of Nuclear Medicine, Clinical Cancer Research, Journal of Clinical Oncology, and Molecular Imaging and Biology. He served on the NIH Cancer Biomarkers Study Section and the Society of Nuclear Medicine Molecular Imaging Center of Excellence.
