ABCNEWS.com has put together a new resource for Breast Cancer Awareness Month as part of ABC News' "The Fight Against Breast Cancer" programming. It's the On Call+ Breast Cancer Care Center, hosted by the ABC News medical editor, Dr. Tim Johnson.
ABC News has identified the leading experts in breast cancer – from 41 institutions that are both the top-rated cancer centers and leaders in cancer research – and filmed them answering over 350 questions on breast cancer prevention, screening, treatment, and living with breast cancer.
Dr. Marisa Weiss is one of the featured experts, answering questions about birth control pills, the breast cancer pathology report, finding a lump while pregnant, and more.
Broadcast coverage of "The Fight Against Breast Cancer" began on Sunday, October 7. Reports will be featured on "Good Morning America Weekend," "World News Sunday," "Good Morning America," "World News with Charles Gibson," and "Nightline." Dr. Tim Johnson will report on the latest breast cancer medical advancements for NewsOne, the network's affiliate news service's daily "Medical Minutes." Additionally, ABC News Radio will focus on the topic on its various broadcasts throughout the month.
