Nationally Acclaimed Bowling and Entertainment Brand to Host Fundraising and Awareness Campaign During October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Los Angeles, CA – October 1, 2014 – Lucky Strike, the nationally-acclaimed bowling and entertainment brand, is proud to announce that it is joining the fight against breast cancer. Lucky Strike is launching a fundraising and awareness initiative in partnership with Breastcancer.org, a global nonprofit organization dedicated to providing the most reliable, complete and up-to-date information about breast cancer, so that those who are affected can make the best decisions for their lives. As part of this initiative, all Lucky Strike locations nationwide will raise awareness and funds through the sales of food and specialty beverage items and a limited-edition charity bracelet throughout October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Breastcancer.org Initiative will officially kick off on October 1st with an event at Lucky Strike Philadelphia benefitting the organization. During the event, guests will be able to help get things rolling by showing off their skills on the lanes, with partial proceeds benefitting Breastcancer.org. “Breastcancer.org is truly grateful for the loyal support we have received over the years from Lucky Strike,” said Rita Lusen, vice president of corporate partnerships and development at Breastcancer.org.

“These contributions help to fund critical programs that reach people affected by breast cancer in a meaningful, necessary, and respectful way. We are so thrilled to kick off our new partnership this October.”

Guests nationwide can also show their support in a variety of ways, including the purchase of limited-edition charity bracelets available at Lucky Strike and by purchasing the Asian Chicken Salad and Spinach & Artichoke Dip, as well as the Lucky Strike Club and Ribbon-Tini, made with Belvedere Vodka, raspberry liquor, pineapple juice, fresh grapefruit and lemon juice. A portion of proceeds from the sale of these items, along with the bracelets, will benefit the charity. Additional donations can also be made via Lucky Strike guest receipts.

“Breast cancer is unfortunately something that is very widespread and continues to affect so many people and their loved ones,” said Steven Foster, founder and CEO of Lucky Strike. “Lucky Strike is proud to partner with Breastcancer.org to raise funds and awareness for this important initiative, and we are happy to be able to show our support for the life-saving work of such a great organization.”
