- Yard Sale—This fundraiser is a great way to get rid of your clutter, while simultaneously contributing to the breast cancer education cause! Friends and family in the community can purchase a spot in a yard to sell their goods. While the money for buying the spot will go to breastcancer.org (eg. $20), each individual selling their items can keep the profit they make from their own goods. Food and music should be available for buyers and sellers, making this event even enjoyable!
- "Junk in the Trunk" Flea Market—Another way to hold a yard sale! This is a creative, outdoor flea market that adults and kids alike can enjoy. People will "buy" a spot to park their car, and sell their own "gently used" items out of their car trunks. While the fee for the parking spot will go to breastcancer.org, for example), each individual can keep the profit they make from their merchandise. Driveways, private roads and public or school parking lots (with the owner's permission) are great locations for this event. Food and music should be available for buyers and sellers, making this event even enjoyable!
- Fashion Show—Do you and your friends have clothes that you love or do you make your own jewelry, scarves or dresses? Why not host a fashion show to benefit breastcancer.org? Whether you use your own clothes or partner up with local boutiques and borrow them, a fashion show is a great way to have fun, show off your favorite styles and contribute to an important cause. Friends and family can pay to watch your show and perhaps buy some of the clothes from the runway at discount prices. Invite the local press and you may get your photo in the paper and free publicity for next year's show!
- Luncheon, Tea Party, Dinner Party—A fundraiser involving great food, friends and family is always a winner! Whether you wish to have a small-scale event at your home or rent a spot at a local restaurant or club, fundraisers like these make raising money fun and tasty! Your friends and family can pay a fee per person to eat, socialize and perhaps enjoy some good entertainment. Having a Mother-Daughter theme is a great way to make this fundraiser more personal and meaningful.
- Walkathon or Race—Organize a walk or run in your community or enter yourself to walk or run in an already established event in your area. If you choose to participate in an already established event, breastcancer.org can provide sponsorship sheets for you to raise money for breastcancer.org!
- Concert—Are you in a band or other music group? Why not host a concert to benefit breastcancer.org! Charge attendees an entry fee, donate a flat amount per ticket, or set up donation jar. Advertise with flyers or invitations around your community. Not only would you be providing great local entertainment and getting your name out, but you would be contributing to a terrific cause.
- Holiday Home Tour—If you or someone you know has a home they wish to show off, this is a great fundraising idea for you. Decorate the home during a specific time of year (Halloween, Valentines Day, etc.) and give tours to friends and neighbors. You can charge an entry fee, set up a donation jar, or sell themed goodies to raise money. Get other houses on your block involved for a neighborhood-wide fundraiser!
- Sports Tournament—Softball, basketball, soccer, bowling…you get the idea! If you enjoy competition, sports and fun, a great fundraising idea is to organize a tournament in your area. If you have a basketball hoop or large yard, it can even be at your own home! Friends and family can organize into teams and pay an entry fee to donate to breastcancer.org. Have a prize for the winning team could earn a prize and you could make up other awards, too. A great way to get some exercise, help an organization and spend time with friends!

- Bake Sale—If you like to bake, this fundraiser will be a great one for you. Get together with your friends to bake a couple of batches of brownies or cookies to sell during lunch period. The money made can be donated to our organization and everyone can enjoy fresh baked goods during the school day!
- Car Wash—Classes or clubs at school can host weekend car washes at the school or even local gas stations. These types of fundraisers can be organized in different ways: you could set a price for each type of car (sedan, SUV, etc), or request donations. Cars will be clean, kids will have fun, and everyone will be happy with this community-friendly fundraiser!
- Mowing Lawns—If you have a lawnmower and are looking to earn money over the summer, consider donating a portion of money from each lawn to breastcancer.org. Advertise with flyers in mailboxes and town notice boards letting people know that not only will they be getting a freshly-cut lawn, they'll also be making a charitable donation!
- Talent Show—A great way to raise money is to have a school or neighborhood talent show. Students can offer their talents and put on entertaining performances for the rest of the school and the community. Viewers can buy tickets to see the performers and donations from the ticket price can be made to breastcancer.org.
- Wear Pink Day, Pajama Day—This type of easy fundraiser is always a hit in at school. Ask your school administrators to designate a special day when students (and maybe teachers!) can take a break from the dress code or show unity by dressing in the same theme. Students can "pay" for this privilege and the money raised will be donated to breastcancer.org. Whether your school decides to wear jeans, something pink, sweatpants, slippers or hats, it is a day to be comfortable and relaxed in your everyday clothing and donate to charity.
- School Dance—A great way to raise funds for breastcancer.org is to donate money raised at a school dance. Whether it is a Halloween dance in the month of October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month), or a homecoming dance, a portion of the ticket sales can be designated for charity. You could also design T-shirts for the dance and give away a portion of those sales! If it is a Halloween dance, have prizes for different costumes.
- Walkathon—Your school could host a walkathon on your track or on school grounds! Map out a route and participating students and teachers can get family, friends and neighbors to sponsor them per lap/mile. Get local businesses involved by asking them to donate refreshments. Another great way to raise money, get active and show the community that you care!
