Patty Myers Evans joined the Breastcancer.org team in June 2008 as director of operations.

Patty, a graduate from Villanova University, has over eight years of due diligence, finance, and accounting experience in a variety of industries with a publicly traded private equity fund and a national accounting firm.

Prior to joining Breastcancer.org, Patty was employed with American Capital Strategies in Bethesda, MD and Conshohocken, PA. As a manager on the Financial Analysis and Compliance team, she was responsible for running due diligence engagements for prospective and existing investments as well as monitoring 16 portfolio companies. She evaluated numerous prospective investments, meeting with management teams and reviewing both their financial and operational health.

Patty started her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in their assurance practice, focusing on non-profit and manufacturing clients. Her non-profit clients included universities, hospitals, and charitable organizations such as Thomas Jefferson University and Hospital, Hope Worldwide, and the Wistar Institute.

Patty is enthused about joining Breastcancer.org: "After being diagnosed with breast cancer at age 28, I found that the more I could learn and understand about my diagnosis, the more empowered I was to overcome the disease. Breastcancer.org was a critical tool for me during a challenging time in my life. I look forward to combining my professional skills and a personal passion to help others better understand breast cancer."
