Tami Noel has a master's degree in Counseling and Human Development. As community moderator for Breastcancer.org, Tami responds to and connects with the community of women and their loved ones who use the site. Through bulletin boards, conferences, and polls, she makes them feel at home with the vital information that Breastcancer.org offers, and provides them with a lively and interactive way to reach each other as well. Tami joined the Breastcancer.org team because she believes this to be an exciting means of connecting women to one another and supplying the most up-to-date, consumer-friendly information available, whether next door or across the world.
Tami's work history includes a combination of research and clinical work. She worked as a project coordinator on two NIMH funded research projects looking at the relationship between mental and physical health. She also worked on a research study which examined factors which contributed to re-hospitalization rates in cancer patients. Her clinical experience includes extensive counseling and outreach work with hospice patients and their families in a hospital setting and children and families in community based settings.
