stereotactic biopsy
This is a way to take a piece of tissue from an abnormality that is seen on a test but that cannot be felt. Since you can't feel the abnormality, you have to use another way to find it. This is done with a computer and a three-dimensional scanning device. Once the tissue is removed, it is examined under a microscope to see if it is normal or abnormal.
