A drug that shuts down the ovaries and stops them from producing estrogen so there is less estrogen to fuel the growth of hormone-receptor-positive breast cancer. It is a type of hormonal therapy that belongs to a group of drugs called LHRH (luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone) agents.
