Nicholas Robert, M.D. is a co-chair of the Breast Committee of the U.S. Oncology Research Network and also chairs the Cancer Committee and Research Committee of the Inova Fairfax Hospital's Cancer Center. He is a graduate of the McGill Medical School and completed an internship and residency in medicine at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal. Following a residency in Anatomic Pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital, he continued his training in Boston in hematology at Brigham and Women's Hospital and in Medical Oncology at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. He was a fellow at Harvard Medical School. After serving as the clinical director of medical oncology at New England Medical Center (Tufts University), Dr. Robert joined Fairfax Northern Virginia Hematology Oncology Practice. He is a member of several organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology and member of the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (a past chairman of the breast committee) and National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project. The author of more than 100 publications, Dr. Robert is a reviewer for several medical publications as well as the recipient of numerous research grants. He is certified in internal medicine, anatomic pathology, medical oncology, and hematology. He is also a member of Breastcancer.org's Professional Advisory Board.
Beth Baughman DuPree, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a general surgeon who focuses on breast cancer care and believes that bringing together complementary therapies with state-of-the-art, leading-edge technology can lead to better outcomes. She is chairman of The Board of Advocates of The American Society of Breast Surgeons, and her clinical practice is located at Holy Redeemer Hospital and St. Mary Medical Center. Dr. DuPree published her first book in June 2006, titled The Healing Consciousness: A Doctor's Journey to Healing. The proceeds from the book have allowed her to create The Healing Consciousness Foundation, a nonprofit organization providing healing therapies for breast cancer survivors. She has been the keynote speaker at numerous conferences and seminars, primarily in addressing breast cancer treatment and healing. Dr. Dupree is also a member of Breastcancer.org's Professional Advisory Board.
