Questions to Ask Your Doctor About Ovarian Cancer

Page last modified on: June 25, 2009

Before you see your medical oncologist or your gynecologist again, let the person who books the appointment know that you'd like a few extra minutes to ask the doctor about ovarian cancer. Here are some of the questions you might ask:

  • Am I at increased risk of getting ovarian cancer?
  • Should I have genetic testing?
  • If I'm at increased risk for ovarian cancer, should I consider prophylactic removal of my ovaries?
  • Do you think I need to see a gynecologic oncologist?
