Questions to Ask Your Doctor About Ovarian Cancer

Page last modified on: March 14, 2007

Before you see your medical oncologist or your gynecologist again, let the person who books the appointment know that you'd like a few extra minutes to ask the doctor about ovarian cancer. Here are some of the questions you might ask:

  1. Am I at increased risk of getting ovarian cancer?
  2. Should I have genetic testing?
  3. If I'm at increased risk for ovarian cancer, should I consider prophylactic removal of my ovaries?
  4. Do you think I need to see a gynecologic oncologist?
