Upcoming triple-negative clinical trials?

Page last modified on: August 19, 2008
Question from Whoopsiedoodles: How do we stay informed of upcoming clinical trials for triple-negative breast cancer after we're finished with treatment?
Answer —George Sledge, M.D.: There are a number of wonderful sources for looking at clinical trials. The National Cancer Institute maintains through its Physician Data Query and ClinicalTrials.gov databases great up-to-date summaries of breast cancer trials that are NCI-sponsored and going on around the United States. It's also reasonable to ask your medical oncologist if he/she participates in clinical trials for breast cancer in general and triple-negative breast cancer in particular. Indeed, if your medical oncologist does not routinely participate in clinical trials, you probably need a new medical oncologist.

On Wednesday, July 16, 2008 our Ask-the-Expert Online Conference was called Triple-Negative Breast CancerGeorge Sledge, M.D. and Beth Baughman DuPree, M.D., F.A.C.S. answered your questions about triple-negative breast cancer and its treatment.
