Penny Block, M.A. is the co-founder and executive director of the Block Center and is a leader in designing and implementing complementary care in a medical setting. An author and noted expert on integrative treatment,she directs the educational and integrative clinical teams at the Center. For the last 25 years, her programs have helped people become healthier nutritionally, physically, and psychologically. She has published articles on integrative care for cancer patients in peer-reviewed journals, and is the author of Eating Well, a dietary guide featuring healthy, delicious cuisine.
David Grotto, R.D., L.D. is a registered dietician and has served as the director of nutrition education at the Block Center for the past 10 years overseeing all nutrition services provided at the Center. He has served as a national media spokesman for the American Dietetic Association. In addition to giving personally tailored nutritional consultations, Dave also teaches a weekly cooking class at Block Medical Center. Dave also co-hosts a nationally syndicated show called Health & Lifestyles Weekly on the America One Television Network.
Judith Sachs is a health educator, writer, speaker, and former member of the Breastcancer.org editorial team. She is the author of Nature's Prozac and The Anti-Aging Diet, among many other preventive healthcare books. She teaches tai chi chuan and gentle exercise to senior citizens in the Philadelphia area.
