Portions or ingredients more important for weight loss?

Question from Lydia: What's more important if you want to keep the weight off — portions or ingredients?
Answer —Diana Dyer, M.S., R.D.: I think they're equal. And again, looking at the whole dietary pattern, which includes ingredients and portion sizes. So I think they both need to be taken into account. But if you're at a party where you don't know the ingredients, you only have control over the portion size.
