Astragalus

Also known as: huang chi, milk vetch, astragalus membranaceus.

Potential uses: It is thought that astragalus can improve immunity and liver health and reduce the risk of cancer.

Usual dose: 500 milligrams three times per day.

Are there any risks? No significant side effects have been reported. If you're taking a drug that suppresses your immune system, DO NOT take astragalus.

What does the research show? No studies have been done in humans on astragalus and breast cancer.
