How to Find Clinical Trials

Page last modified on: February 16, 2009

If you're interested in participating in a clinical trial, talk to your doctor. He or she may know of a trial that is right for your unique situation.

In the United States, the National Cancer Institute has a page devoted to clinical trials. On this page, you can search a database of trials that are looking for participants. You can also call the National Cancer Institute at 1-800-4CANCER for information on clinical trials.

If you want to make sure that any trial you consider is close to home, call the cancer center closest to you and ask for information about trials at the center. You can also visit the center's web site and search for clinical trials.
