Mary Ellen Scheckenbach, M.Ac. is co-founder of Hidden River: A Center for Health in Philadelphia. Ms. Scheckenbach has practiced acupuncture and chinese herbology since 1986 with an emphasis on women's health, chronic disease, and pain. She is a national speaker for medical schools and conferences serving professional health and community organizations.
Tracy Walton, L.M.T., M.S. consults to hospitals and massage schools and teaches "Caring for Clients with Cancer," courses offered nationally for massage therapists. She has served as Academic Dean and Instructor in Physiology and Pathology at the Muscular Therapy Institute. She is co-investigator on a study of complementary therapies for inpatients with cancer at the Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She maintains an extensive bibliography of cancer and massage therapy research at www.tracywalton.com.
Beth Baughman DuPree, M.D., F.A.C.S. is the medical director of the Breast Health Program at Holy Redeemer Health System in Meadowbrook, PA. Previously, Dr. DuPree was CEO and medical director of the Comprehensive Breast Care Institute at DSI of Bucks County in Bensalem, PA. Dr. DuPree is a general surgeon who focuses her practice on breast cancer care and believes that bringing together complementary therapies with leading-edge technology can lead to better outcomes. In 2006, Dr. DuPree published a book titled The Healing Consciousness. In 2007, she established The Healing Consciousness Foundation to fund holistic therapies for people diagnosed with breast cancer. She is also a member of Breastcancer.org's Professional Advisory Board.
