Internal radiation is recommended to a number of women as an alternative to external radiation. However, it is still being studied to measure the benefits when compared with external radiation.

Multi-Catheter Internal Radiation: What to Expect
This method uses small tubes implanted in the breast for treatment that lasts up to a week.
Balloon-Catheter Internal Radiation: What to Expect
This method uses a tube with a balloon on the end, implanted in the breast, for treatment that usually lasts 1 week.
