Kim has dedicated her entire professional career to breast imaging and is a long standing colleague of Marisa Weiss’s.
Kim was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and attended Miami University, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a BS degree. She went to the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine, and during an internship at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, shifted her focus to women’s imaging. She completed her residency and fellowship in mammography and obstetrical ultrasound at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Kim helped open the breast imaging center at Pennsylvania Hospital, where she worked for five years. Subsequently she went into private practice in partnership with a surgical group specializing in breast surgery at Bryn Mawr Hospital. In 2000, she opened her own practice, The Diagnostic Breast Center in Newtown Square, where she currently sees approximately 5,000 women a year. They utilize 3D breast tomosynthesis, which allows us to pick up breast cancer at an earlier stage. Kim works closely with her patients to ensure they get rapid follow-up care as needed.
Kim believes Breastcancer.org plays a vital role in the treatment and long-term follow-up of breast cancer patients and looks forward to adding her insight as a physician who has dedicated her entire career to breast imaging.
