Claire Bugos is a health and science journalist. Claire was a news reporter at Verywell Health, where she covered public health, infectious disease, pharmaceuticals, nutrition, health policy, environmental toxicology, fitness and wellness, and more. She was an AAAS travel fellow and her work at Verywell on early onset cancer trends was a finalist at the Folio Eddie awards. She has also published astronomy, archaeology, art, and science stories at Smithsonian Magazine and Discover Magazine. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and history from Northwestern University and lives in Brooklyn.
