David Mankoff, MD, PhD

 

David Mankoff, MD, PhD, is the Matthew J. Wilson Professor of Research Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where he also serves as director of the PET Center and associate director of education and research at the Abramson Cancer Center.

Dr. Mankoff’s research focuses on molecular imaging of cancer, primarily on breast cancer, and emphasizes imaging biomarkers for precision oncology, therapeutic monitoring, and biologic factors mediating therapeutic response and resistance. He has also been active on translational and clinical research in radiopharmaceutical therapy. Dr. Mankoff’s work has the overarching theme of translating new agents and methods from the lab into clinical trials and clinical practice, including methods for quantitative imaging and image analysis.
