Patricia A. Ganz, MD
Patricia A. Ganz, MD, is a distinguished professor of medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and distinguished professor of health policy & management at the UCLA Jonathan and Karin Fielding School of Public Health. She is also the associate director for population science research at the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center in Los Angeles, California.
Ganz is a medical oncologist and a founding member of the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship. She is a pioneer in the assessment of quality of life in cancer patients and has focused much of her clinical and research efforts in the areas of breast cancer and its prevention. Her major areas of research include cancer survivorship, understanding the late effects of cancer treatment, measurement of patient reported outcomes in clinical treatment trials, and quality of care for cancer patients.
