Philippa Darbre is professor emeritus of oncology at the University of Reading and has dedicated her career to studying how estrogens, antiestrogens and endocrine disrupting chemicals regulate the growth of breast cancer cells. She has served as a senior adviser on the European Commission’s Committee on Health and Environmental Risks and on the editorial board for the Journal of Applied Toxicology, and Hormone Molecular Biology and Clinical Investigation.
