Dr. Beth DuPree's impressive credentials do not capture the humanitarian spirit with which she treats her patients, friends, and acquaintances. She is the chairman of the Board of Advocates of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. Dr. DuPree is a general surgeon who focuses her practice on breast cancer care and believes that bringing together complementary therapies with state-of-the-art, leading-edge technology can lead to better outcomes. She serves as the medical director of the Breast Health Program for the Holy Redeemer Health System.

Dr. DuPree strongly urges her patients to get complementary healing support, whether it is through clinical psychological therapy, spiritual assistance, grief counseling, exercise programs, reflexology, nutritional counseling, Reiki, yoga, or massage. In fact, she herself has participated in all and believes that "whatever it takes to help a person find healing and peace is the way to curing them."

Dr. DuPree's skin-sparing mastectomies with plastic surgeon Robert Skalicky, D.O. were featured live on the Internet in October 1999. The mastectomy webcast and subsequent television documentary received a Gracie Allen Award in New York City in April 2000. Additional awards for her medical work and humanitarian endeavors include the Clara Barton Humanitarian Award from the American Red Cross in 2002, the Visions of Hope Award in December 2002, the Northampton Township Citizen of the Month in February 2003, the Women Pioneering the Future Award from the Pennsylvania Commission for Women in March 2003, the Bucks Women Fund Award in March 2007, the Tristate Team Survivor achievement award in October 2007, and was boomer-living.com's baby boomer of the month in January 2008. She is also on the advisory committee for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure's Philadelphia branch.

Dr. DuPree, who received her medical degree from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia in 1987, published her first book in June of 2006, titled The Healing Consciousness: A Doctor's Journey to Healing. The proceeds from the book have allowed her to create The Healing Consciousness Foundation, a nonprofit organization providing healing therapies for breast cancer survivors. She has been the keynote speaker at numerous conferences and seminars, primarily in addressing breast cancer treatment and healing.

A native of York, Pennsylvania, Dr. DuPree lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, with her husband Joe and their two sons. Dr. DuPree credits her accomplishments to her family's constant, unwavering support of her passions.
