More about the redesign

Helping you more quickly and easily find all of the important information you need to make informed decisions for your breast cancer care is the most significant reason for the new look and improved features at Breastcancer.org. Here are some more details:

  • We know you need answers fast when you are dealing with the challenges of breast cancer. Now, as a starting point, you can quickly find information in two ways. There are six different persona categories, based on the audiences we support. And there are six key topic categories, based on the type of information you need. Together, these simpler ways help you begin the process of gathering information for your unique situation.

  • Breastcancer.org delivers high quality, medically reviewed content in all of the ways people like to learn: through text articles, audio podcasts, videos, and checklists. The new site design seamlessly incorporates all formats of our multimedia content and makes it more straightforward for you to find everything through search.

  • Our new search function is better equipped to help you find the content you’re seeking. The intelligent search capabilities know what you’re looking for, even if there is a spelling mistake in the search term, which can happen often with medical words that are unfamiliar. The search tool also saves your queries for one week, which can be helpful as you revisit the site to make decisions for your care.

  • The Breastcancer.org community is at the heart of our organization. From all over the world, you help one another with encouragement, tips, and friendship during the most challenging times in your lives. Throughout the years, we’ve heard from you that shared experiences are an important part of your learning and healing process. We’re featuring the community forum discussions and your personal stories more prominently across the site.

  • Many of you use your mobile devices to access information while at the doctor’s office or from anywhere you may be. The new site design now offers a much better experience by showing you the full breadth and depth of our educational and support resources.

  • The technology on the previous site was outdated and in need of an upgrade to best serve you and our global audience. We’re grateful to the donors and partners who have helped bring the vision of an improved Breastcancer.org experience to life and will sustain our ongoing improvements and feature enhancement. More exciting updates and features are coming soon, and we can’t wait to share them with you.
