Breast cancer changed my life in such a wonderful way! Although I didn't realize this until after my bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction, it made it easy to make a huge career change and gave me the opportunity to help others to feel whole and complete physically. After the final step of reconstruction (new areola and nipples via tattooing), I decided to leave a very lucrative, 30-year career in the legal field and become a certified micropigmentation specialist. Not only do I recreate 3D areolae and nipples, but I also camouflage and cover scars and imperfections along with cosmetic tattooing such as eyebrows, lip liner/blush, etc. It's been so rewarding and I wouldn't have even known about this service if I hadn't had breast cancer. So sometimes good things can develop from what appears to be a horrible thing at first. So, keep an open mind about your future. Always stay positive, too! Good things just might be on the horizon for you!
