Jessica and Rafael's Story: A Breast Cancer Diagnosis During Pregnancy

Jessica was about 14 weeks pregnant when she found a lump in her breast. Going through chemotherapy before he was born and multiple surgeries after his birth led to uncertainty, fear, and despair for her and her husband Rafael. They learned that asking for help was an important step in facing these challenges.

Both Jessica and Rafael joined the Breastcancer.org virtual meetup groups to connect with others affected by breast cancer. Through their participation, they found a community that offered support, healing, and a sense of belonging.
