Alan Stolier, M.D.

In 1993, Dr. Alan Stolier became the first medical director of the Breast Center at Memorial Hospital in New Orleans. In March 2000, he moved to the Breast Center at Ochsner Clinic and Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans, where he is the medical director. He is also Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at Louisiana State University and Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Tulane University. He has a particular interest in image-guided breast biopsy, sentinel node biopsy, and the risks of breast seeding with tumor during needle biopsy.

Dr. Stolier is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology, a member of the American Society of Breast Disease and the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and past President of the New Orleans Surgical Society.
