Dr. Sabol has held an appointment at Jefferson Medical College as a clinical assistant professor of surgery since 1997. While she is board certified in general surgery, her practice is currently focused on the treatment of diseases of the breast.

"My involvement with Breastcancer.org is really motivated by the stories I hear from my patients," she says. "Many feel they don't get to spend enough time with their physicians, don't know what questions to ask, or are afraid of being a nuisance. They want to gather information at their own pace and in a non-threatening environment. They also appreciate the support and feedback from other patients who are at various stages of diagnosis and treatment. Breastcancer.org provides sound, up-to-date information and support in a style that is easily understood by women of all educational and cultural backgrounds. I think Breastcancer.org is unique in that it gives the patient a chance to interact with physicians in an environment that is very different from your typical doctor's office."
