"My involvement with Breastcancer.org is really motivated by the stories I hear from my patients," she says. "Many feel they don't get to spend enough time with their physicians, don't know what questions to ask, or are afraid of being a nuisance. They want to gather information at their own pace and in a non-threatening environment. They also appreciate the support and feedback from other patients who are at various stages of diagnosis and treatment. Breastcancer.org provides sound, up-to-date information and support in a style that is easily understood by women of all educational and cultural backgrounds. I think Breastcancer.org is unique in that it gives the patient a chance to interact with physicians in an environment that is very different from your typical doctor's office."
