Julie Gralow, M.D. is associate professor of medical oncology specializing in breast cancer at the University of Washington and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and director of breast medical oncology at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. She co-chairs the Southwest Oncology Group's Breast Cancer Center Committee and chairs the Patient Communication Committee of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. She is also medical director for Team Survivor Northwest, an exercise and fitness program for women cancer survivors. In that role, she has climbed mountains, participated in triathlons, biked in the 200-mile Seattle-to-Portland ride, rowed in a dragon boat, and had a great time while encouraging women cancer survivors to exercise and live healthy lives. She is a co-author of Breast Fitness: An Optimal Exercise and Health Plan for Reducing Your Risk of Breast Cancer, by Anne McTiernan, M.D., Ph.D., Julie Gralow, M.D., and Lisa Talbott (St. Martin's Press).
