Kathy D. Miller, M.D.

Page last modified on: October 2, 2008

Kathy D. Miller, M.D., is associate professor of medical oncology at Indiana University, and a Sheila D. Ward Scholar. She has a special interest in new cancer treatments, including clinical trials of biologically based therapies, and looks forward to tying this interest into her association with Breastcancer.org. Kathy went to medical school and did her training at Johns Hopkins and Indiana University, taking a year's leave as an International 4-H Youth Exchange Representative to Botswana, Africa. That's a good indicator of her priorities, another reason Breastcancer.org values her participation.

Dr. Miller has been the principal investigator on a number of high-level grants from Rhone-Poulenc Rorer, Amgen, Supergen, and Genentech, among others. She is the recipient of a Career Development Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology and is an author on forty papers and abstracts. She brings a keen mind and caring heart to her work with Breastcancer.org.
