Paul B. Gilman, M.D.

Paul B. Gilman, M.D., has an extensive and distinguished career as an oncologist specializing in breast cancer. He is chief of the division of hematology/oncology at Lankenau Hospital, outside of Philadelphia, and medical director of the hospital's cancer center. He is also an assistant professor of medicine at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, and founded the oncology clinic at St. Joseph's Hospital in Philadelphia in 1985. Additionally, Dr. Gilman is director of the Lankenau Breast Cancer Multidisciplinary Treatment Group. He is known for his warmth with his patients, who leave his office feeling well taken care of and who find numerous opportunities to spread the word of his caring and kindness.

Dr. Gilman received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in 1976, completing his residency in internal medicine at New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston, and fellowship training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. He has received a National Cancer Institute grant, and is a principal investigator for several regional oncology group trials.
