"As a doctor, I feel a deep responsibility to help each of my patients get the best care possible. I know the questions don't stop when office hours end. That's why I founded Breastcancer.org 25 years ago — because everyone needs the best care possible. When people tell me our site has been their lifeline during their cancer journey, it reminds me why this mission to protect and save lives means everything."

Connecting You With the Support You Need Most

Approximately 1 in 8 women (13%) in the U.S. will develop invasive breast cancer at some point in their life.

While advances in screening and treatment have reduced the overall risk of death from the disease, the number of people diagnosed with breast cancer continues to rise. One report found the breast cancer incidence increased by 1% per year between 2012 and 2021.

When facing breast cancer, having the right support makes all the difference. That's why we're dedicated to guiding you every step of the way. We're committed to expanding our resources to improve care experiences and health outcomes for everyone affected by breast cancer.

25th Anniversary Timeline

There are currently more than four million women with a history of breast cancer in the U.S. This includes women currently being treated and women who have finished treatment. To help our global community make informed decisions, we offer free access to our programs and share our content widely.
