Hello, my name is Terlisa Sheppard. I'm 51 years old. I was diagnosed metastatic in November of 2001, 17 years ago, actually. Being in the show today means continued growth, being able to go along in my diagnosis, and to help educate others throughout this whole process.

I'm one of those who are considered an outlier. I've been surviving this — metastatic disease — for 17 years, breast cancer altogether 20 years. I was 8 and a half months pregnant when I was first diagnosed. And also, I mean continued growth, seeing my babies grow up throughout this whole process has just been so rewarding to me. So, I'm always trying to be there for others to help encourage and inspire them throughout this process.
